Tribute for Zion

By John Friend —

In yet another display of the total stranglehold that the vast network of pro-Israel lobbies dominating Washington, D.C. have over the United States federal government, the Obama administration recently announced it was set to offer Israel the largest military aid package that any country has ever received in U.S. history.

Although precise details of the military aid package are still being negotiated with Israel, White House officials confirmed the size and scope of the pending giveaway of even more American taxpayer dollars.

“We are prepared to sign [a memorandum of understanding] with Israel that would constitute the largest single pledge of military assistance to any country in U.S. history,” an anonymous White House official told Reuters recently.

Currently, the U.S. gives Israel over $3 billion annually in military aid and other financial assistance, not to mention unwavering political and diplomatic support. That translates to roughly $10.2 million per day American taxpayers give to Israel.

The pledge from the Obama administration comes after more than 80 of the 100 sitting U.S. senators—four-fifths of the upper house of Congress—signed a letter spearheaded by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the powerful pro-Israel lobby, announcing their support for “a substantially enhanced new long-term agreement to help provide Israel the resources it requires to defend itself and preserve its qualitative military edge.”

In total, 83 U.S. senators have signed the letter—51 Republicans and 32 Democrats—which was originally drafted by Senators Christopher Andrew “Chris” Coons (D-Del.) and Lindsey Olin Graham (R-S.C.) in conjunction with AIPAC. Late last month, Graham, one of the most slavishly pro-Israel senators in Washington, D.C., disgracefully told The Times of Israel that he will “do everything I can to squeeze some money out of a tight budget to help increase funding for Israel.”

Senator Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz (R-Texas), whose presidential aspirations ended in Indiana, unsurprisingly signed the letter. Senator Bernard “Bernie” Sanders, who is challenging Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination and admirably refused to speak to speak at the recent annual AIPAC policy conference, did not.

The letter sent to President Barack Hussein Obama goes on to note that “a strong and secure Israel remains a central pillar of our national strategy to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East” and that “Israel remains America’s strongest ally in this troubled region,” claims that are easily refuted by an objective analysis of the situation and historical relationship between the two nations.

The letter describes a variety of manufactured threats Israel currently faces and argues that these alleged threats are forcing Israel to devote more resources to its defense.

The letter falsely alleges that Hezbollah, the nationalist Shi’ite organization opposing Israeli aggression against Lebanon and Syria, has positioned “150,000 rockets and missiles to Israel’s north, and promises to attack at a time of its choosing.” Hezbollah has consistently acted in self defense when Israel Defense Forces attack, bomb, and militarily intervene in the affairs of Lebanon and Syria.

The letter also hypes the purported threat Israel faces from Hamas, Iran, and various “radical Islamic terrorist groups” operating in the Mideast, none of which has ever actually targeted Israel.

Many independent geopolitical analysts have posited that Islamic State, for example, is funded and manipulated by Western intelligence agencies working in conjunction with Israel in order to destabilize Syria and other governments in the Middle East so that Zionist hegemony can be advanced in the region.

According to reports, Israel is pushing for an increase in annual military and financial aid from over $3 billion currently to between $4 and $5 billion annually.

Interestingly, leading GOP presidential contender Donald J. Trump told reporters in late March that he believes Israel and other American allies should be paying for American defense aid, which would represent a stark break from traditional U.S. policy toward the Jewish state.

Trump’s frank statements to the media came just before his speech to the annual AIPAC conference in Washington, D.C., where he fell in line and pledged his unswerving loyalty to Israel.

On March 10, Google Consumer Surveys conducted a single-question poll of adult Internet users: “The U.S. gives Israel over $3 billion annually (9% of the foreign aid budget and more than any other country). The amount is: Much too much; Too much; About right; Too little; Much too little.” A third (32.5%, the plurality of respondents) answered “much too much,” while 29.4% (the second-largest group) said “too much.” In all, over three-fifths of respondents (61.9%) believe Israel receives too much largesse stolen from taxpayers’ pockets.

Too Much Aid for Israel, Says Public

17_18_Aid_to_israel• Three-fifths of Americans now oppose massive wealth transfer to Zionist state.

By Ronald L. Ray —

A majority of Americans are convinced that the apartheid, terrorist, genocidal, rogue nuclear state of Israel receives too much foreign “aid” from hardworking United States taxpayers, thanks to a corrupt Congress. Far from heeding the cries of their constituents, however, the weasels in Washington plan to increase the massive wealth transfer by two-thirds, from over $3 billion per year to an outlandish $5 billion per year, beginning in fiscal year 2017. While America’s poor and elderly suffer and our country’s roads and bridges decay, political poohbahs indenture generations of our children for the profit of sociopathic Zionist warmongers.

Since 1948, the U.S. has sent a quarter of a trillion dollars, adjusted for inflation, to the Zionist occupation government in Palestine. While a small portion in early years was economic aid, most—and all of it now—is either military or intelligence aid. According to the news and commentary website, “secret intelligence support may now have reached an additional $1.9-$13.2 billion annually.”

In addition, Congress and the president have put Americans on the financial hook for billions in loans and loan guarantees to Israel. If Israel defaults, U.S. citizens must pay.

Almost unknown to nearly all Americans, the Israeli regime is privileged in other ways, too. According to a June 10, 2015 report by Jeremy M. Sharp for the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, all other countries receive foreign aid in installments. Thanks to a powerful Israel lobby, however, the nuclear terrorist state receives all of its funding in the first 30 days of the fiscal year.

Over $3 billion are deposited into an interest-bearing account at the Federal Reserve. Israel typically uses the tens of millions in interest to reduce its loan obligations to the U.S. Thus, hapless Americans essentially pay for Israel’s bloody activities twice, while Israelis receive a parasitic “free ride.”

To add insult to injury, 336 “Israel affinity organizations,” according to, funnel a similar amount of money to Israel, which is then used to further that state’s militaristic and imperialistic regional expansionism, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Israel likewise profits from $5.7 billion (2015) in annual arms exports, mostly to Asia and the Pacific, but also Europe and America. With so much money rolling in from Israel’s militaristic enterprises and its mostly unregistered foreign agents in the U.S.—i.e., Zionist “charitable” organizations—why does the wealthy Mideast state need any U.S. foreign aid at all?

This newspaper has reported frequently on the dangers posed by the Zionist state. Israel is a state sponsor of terrorism, as its active support for the Islamic State and similar groups destabilizing Syria demonstrates. It engages in an active program of genocide against native Palestinians, including periodic barbaric military attacks on civilians, destruction of homes and public infrastructure, burning of farms, and poisoning of water supplies. Israeli authorities carry out regular, extrajudicial kidnappings and imprisonment of Palestinian children and youths, who are then frequently abused while interned without legal recourse.

In just three months this year, Israel Defense Forces destroyed 523 Palestinian homes and civilian structures in the West Bank—an increase of 275% over the same period the previous year. The Israelis also continue massive expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory.

Israel is a racist, apartheid state that discriminates viciously against the native Palestinian majority in work, housing, and politics. Even hospital maternity wards have been segregated. The head of half of Israel’s Jews, Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, has called for the expulsion of almost all non-Jews to Saudi Arabia, saying they will be killed when the “messiah” arrives.

As we reported recently, all U.S. foreign “aid” and assistance to Israel is illegal, because the latter possesses nuclear weapons and is a nonsignatory of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). In fact, U.S. funding of Israel has brought America into violation of the NPT, as well. Apart from federal funding and supply of the Israeli military, Jewish 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in the U.S., like the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute, funnel funds illegally to the Israeli nuclear program. Yet far from preventing such heinous behavior, the IRS actually has moved repeatedly, including in 2008 under Jewish then-Commissioner Douglas Shulman, to block efforts to end such abuses of the law.

Half of Americans, however, are so ignorant of all this that they actually believe Palestinians occupy Israeli land, and not the reverse. Still, it is refreshing that most are tired of funding Israel. Do your part, and tell Congress and the president to obey the law. Tell them to stop funding Israel.

Christian Evangelicals Turning Backs on Israel

27_Evangelicals• Blind support for genocidal policies of Zionist state no longer a prerequisite for salvation.

By Ronald L. Ray —

Zionists are worried.

For decades, conservative evangelical Christians have been among the most fervent backers of the terroristic, rogue nuclear, apartheid Zionist occupation government in the Holy Land, known as Israel. They typically also have failed, knowingly or not, to acknowledge even basic human rights for the oppressed native Palestinians—Muslim and Christian—who face racial extinction at the hands of the region’s Jewish overlords. But that seemingly impregnable mountain of support has started to erode. A growing minority of ministers and younger believers have begun to challenge the established doctrine and practice, asserting that Zionism is contrary to God’s teaching in the Bible, and that continued persecution of Palestinians is a gross violation of fundamental morality.

Evangelical Protestants are not monolithic in their theological views about modern Israel and the Jews, but nearly all share a belief in a key religious role for both, preceding the return of Jesus Christ. This—frequently combined with an ardent American exceptionalism—has made them easy marks for the warped parallel political ideology promoted by Jewish-funded shills, like Hal Lindsay and Pat Robertson. Some 80% of evangelicals have thus become not only major contributors to Zionist causes, but primary promoters of American wars and black operations on behalf of Israel and the Jews. These people act in accordance with what they consider is an ordinance from God and often believe blindly that the Jews can do no wrong. Some are so superstitious as to claim that even simple criticism of the Jews will bring down God’s curse. The Zionists, of course, have exploited this to the extreme.

Members of the New Evangelical Movement and others, however, have become increasingly vocal in questioning this longstanding bias. They believe Christian Zionism—which is more pronounced than even Jewish Zionism—has misinterpreted the Bible, leading to faulty theology and destructive, deadly politics.

Exemplary of this is the “Christ at the Checkpoint” conference held last March at Bethlehem Bible College in Palestine. The Jewish Daily Forward reported that the group “strongly condemns ‘all forms of violence’ and warns against the ‘stereotyping of all faith forms that betray God’s commandment to love our neighbors and enemies.’ It also rejects ‘any exclusive claim to the land of the Bible in the name of God’ and states that ‘racial ethnicity alone does not guarantee the benefits of the Abrahamic Covenant.’”

World Vision, the Christian children’s relief organization, and the George Soros-backed Telos Group have given significant support to efforts exposing the evils of Zionism. Theological heavyweights, like William Wilson, the president of Oral Roberts University, Professor Gary Burge of Wheaton College and Reverend Stephen Sizer in England are among proponents seeking a realignment of values to bring about peace in the Holy Land for all. The Telos Group sponsors frequent trips for evangelicals to meet both Israelis and Palestinians. The pilgrims are often astonished to learn that there are countless Christian Palestinians, also persecuted by Zionists.

American and Israeli Zionists have panicked and are calling out the troops to crush this rebellion. Pastor John Hagee’s cult-like Christians United for Israel (CUFI) has sounded the war claxon, unable to tolerate dissent or acknowledge the humanity of Arabs. CUFI executive director David Brog, a Jew and cousin of former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak (born Ehud Brog), frets in Middle East Quarterly that, “questioning Christian support for the Jewish state is fast becoming a key way for millennials to demonstrate Christian compassion and bona fides.” Brog is incensed: Israel ueber alles.

Telos co-founder Todd Deatherage counters that the new evangelicals are committed to “security, dignity and freedom” for both Palestinians and Israelis.
