We have to start winning wars again. I have to say, when I was young, in high school and college, everybody used to say we never lost a war. We never lost a war, remember?…
America never lost. And now we never win a war. We never win. And don’t fight to win. We don’t fight to win. We’ve either got to win or don’t fight at all. – President Trump to the National Governors Association, Feb. 27, 2017
“Don’t fight at all” has a pleasant, fresh ring to it, like any good salesman’s con. The President was about to announce a proposed military budget increase of $58 billion, making the world’s biggest military budget that much bigger. So he probably wasn’t thinking, “Don’t fight at all.” In fact, almost as soon as he said that, he turned to his frustration with the Middle East after 17 years and a cost of $6 trillion. “That’s just unacceptable. And we’re nowhere,” the President said,
Actually, if you think about it, we’re less than nowhere. The Middle East is far worse than it was 16, 17 years ago. There’s not even a contest. So we’ve spent $6 trillion. We have a hornet’s nest. It’s a mess like you’ve never seen before. We’re nowhere. So we’re going to straighten it out.
The Middle East is a big place, so straightening “it” out could be even more complicated than health care. And the President hasn’t proposed a strategic plan that we know of, so how he plans to go about straightening it out is a little murky. Still, we’re already at war there, so that’s a start. We’re at war under a 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force (AUMF), passed then by a mindless and panicked Congress, and left in place ever since by a feckless Congress (Rep. Barbara Lee the lone exception). With his AUMF in place, with the world’s largest military, and with virtually no American opposition to war in other places, the President pretty much has carte blanche to wreak havoc as he chooses.
Escalation in Syria is well under way, especially bombing raids
As part of Operation Inherent Resolve, more US troops have been deployed in northwestern Syria (how many is unclear, but the total force is about 500). According to US Centcom, their mission is a “reassurance and deterrence [mission] … designed to be a visible symbol to other parties there that Manbij has already been fully liberated” from the Islamic State (which held it from January 2014 to August 2016). Manbij is a city that once had a population of 100,000, located roughly midway between Aleppo and the Turkish border. Military forces nearby in the region include Syrian, Russian, Turkish, and Kurdish troops, as well as elements of the Islamic State and Syrian rebels. The American role, in cooperation with the Russians at least, is to keep others from interfering in Manbij, which was governed for awhile by a mostly local military council. Now the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), a leading force of Syrian Kurds, is trying to establish Manbij as a democratic autonomous administration that would, in effect, be part of a de facto Kurdistan in northern Syria. The Turks are adamantly opposed to Kurdish autonomy and would have attacked Manbij but for the US and Russian forces in their way.
US Weapons of Mass Destruction might get wider use
The US Central Command (based in Tampa, Florida) has recently confirmed what it had previously denied: that the US has used depleted uranium weapons in Syria against the Islamic State. For decades now, the US has been using – and denying that it uses – depleted uranium weapons in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries in the region. Depleted uranium weapons have long been controversial, and their use is arguably a war crime, since the radioactive impact of the weapons does not discriminate between combatants and civilians and leaves radioactively poisoned areas behind for decades. Under international law as well as 18 US Code sec 2332c, depleted uranium weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). Use of depleted uranium weapons arguably violates numerous international treaties, including the Geneva Conventions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. More than 150 countries have worked to control or ban depleted uranium weapons, an effort always opposed by the US despite the connection between depleted uranium and the poisoning of US troops called Gulf War Syndrome.
Yemen: an undefended target of opportunity for any murderous impulse
The pace of drone strikes by the US on suspected terrorists has increased more than fourfold since Trump took office. At the same time, Trump has abandoned responsibility for ordering drone strikes, leaving it to others down the chain of command to kill unlucky civilians at will. The US carried out more than 30 drone strikes against Yemen in the first days of March alone. According to the US Central Command, the ostensible target was “al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula” and the drone strikes “were conducted in partnership with the government of Yemen.”
The “government of Yemen” is essentially a legal fiction that controls a small portion of the country around Aden and is significantly controlled by Saudi Arabia. The US Command characterizes al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula as “a local and regional threat” with manpower in the “low thousands.” US Central Command also says this al-Qaida “has more American blood on its hands” than the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria does, and that it is a “deadly terrorist organization that has proven itself to be very effective in targeting and killing Americans, and they have intent and aspirations to continue doing so,… This is a dangerous group locally, regionally and transnationally, to include against the United States, the West and our allies,” while offering no specific details. Meanwhile Yemen is on the verge of mass starvation and the US continues to support the Saudi-led blockade of the poorest country in the region. That’s one way to “straighten out” the Middle East.

Corporate Media Exposed For Reporting Syria Misinformation. Canadian Journalist Eva Bartlett
Ever since having utterly destroyed a smug mainstream journalist at a UN Summit over corporate media’s claims that they had sources inside East Aleppo, hospital bombings, and other “atrocities” committed by the Assad government, Eva Bartlett has been the subject of a corporate media smear campaign.
Corporate media outlets and their NGO talking heads have maligned her as a “Russian agent,” a “Syrian agent,” and, probably the most ridiculous of all, even a racist (meaning white supremacist). This last one, of course, is a hallmark of the more NGO-funded or mentally handicapped SJW contingency, the usual suspects who compulsively make this accusation. The argument is that saying the alleged “revolution” of bearded jihadist freaks was funded and orchestrated by the West is to deny that Arabs have the ability to orchestrate their own subhuman revolution of savagery. (Yawn.)
Still, this is quite a resume for a Canadian woman writing for alternative media outlets who can afford to pay very little for contributors (if at all) and traveling to places like Gaza and Syria on a shoestring budget in often rather unpleasant conditions. With Russia taking over the world and all, it’s surprising they couldn’t at least find better travel arrangements for one of their agents (or at least a .com domain! After all, the Russian hacking ability knows no limits, right?). It’s also odd that a white supremacist would find her life’s calling defending the rights of brown people against Western, largely white, nations. But I digress . . .
The assertions made against her are so baseless and incredibly imbecilic that they do not warrant refutations, especially since her detractors will simply invent another attack when the current one no longer works. Today, a racist Russian/Syrian agent. Tomorrow an anti-white capitalist pig, perhaps. Only time will tell.
But, despite the smear campaign, none of the corporate NGO attackers ever address a single claim she makes. Instead, they go right to accusations, over-talking, and name-calling. If her statements were so bogus, they would be easy to refute, right? Still, there is no debate, only catcalls. The reason for this approach is simply because each time one of the mainstream media drones or an NGO fanatic engages her in an actual debate, they end up getting their asses handed to them on internationally broadcast programs.
Regardless, Eva continues her campaign to end in the imperialist war in Syria and, in the meantime, continues to expose the hypocrisy and treachery of Western media outlets.
In a recent interview with Global Research, Eva was asked to recount some of her experiences traveling in Syria. During the first few minutes of the interview, she managed to reveal to the world how mainstream media outlets like the BBC and New York Times were exposed to the reality of the situation in Syria yet absolutely refused to report what they saw. Instead, they reported a lie; i.e. the establishment line that Assad is “killing his own people” and that terrorist atrocities were simply unable to be given definitive attribution. At best, they qualified their reports with fantastical claims by pro-terrorist websites and organizations like the SOHR so heavily that the report itself seemed to “debunk” the actual truth of the matter.
On a personal level, for example, in April, 2014, there was a mortar, at least one mortar which struck a school in Old Damascus. The school is called al-Menar and if I recall one child was killed and over sixty were injured. And I went to a hospital called the French Hospital with some others on this peace delegation I was in Syria with and we wanted to see who were the injured children, you know, to document them, share their stories, or at least share the fact that a school had been shelled by a militant in Jobar or East Damascus. And while we were there, we ran into Lyse Doucet of the BBC. And she saw the same children. She could have asked the questions and deduced that the mortar indeed came from the militant area but her later report said something to the effect of “we don’t know where it came from.” That’s one instance.
In November of last year, I was in Aleppo on my third of four visits to Aleppo and on November 3, there was a rain of GRAD missiles and gas canister bombs and explosive bullets and mortars onto civilian areas of Aleppo. By the end of the day, eighteen people had been killed and over 200 had been injured. And the journalists that I was with, from the New York Times, BBC, and other venues or other sites . . . we were at the Rasi hospital which is one of the main hospitals in Aleppo and we saw some of the injured coming into the hospital and we saw some of the corpses of those killed in these attacks coming to the morgue around the corner from the hospital. And in the piece the New York Times journalist later wrote – I don’t remember verbatim what she said – but it was implying that this kind of attack was unusual, where we’d been told, and anybody who researches even a little bit about Aleppo would know, we’ve been told that, on a daily basis, or near daily basis, the people of Aleppo were being attacked by mortars, gas canister bombs, etc. But, in her report, she couldn’t simply state what she had seen, she had to imply that this was somewhat unusual and she had to qualify it with an unsubstantiated report by the Syrian Observatory For Human Rights which is based in the U.K, and their allegation that some sort of attack had occurred by Syria or Russia the same day.
. . . .
The Western media will, in course, accuse the Syrian military and the government of massacres, of crimes against humanity, and, you know, they are both distorting the reality and ignoring the truth on the ground which is that the civilians in Syria have been suffering for years since this Western-instigated so-called revolution started in 2011. And Western media that reports on civilian deaths . . . civilian deaths do occur when the army is fighting terrorists. It’s a war. Civilian deaths will occur. But what the media ignores is the context. It ignores who funded these terrorists. It ignores the fact that Turkey and Israel have been attacking Syria and that this whole situation wouldn’t have occurred if the West, primarily Washington and its allies, hadn’t manufactured this notion of a revolution, hadn’t sent arms to the so-called rebels, hadn’t distorted the reality on the ground, hadn’t funded the so-called opposition.
Indeed, the West’s involvement in Syria by its very nature puts the blood of every individual killed in that conflict squarely on the hands of the Western nations that engineered the crisis to begin with. Without the West, there would have been no “revolution,” no moderate cannibals, and no armed conflict whatsoever.
But it is important to point out here that what Eva Bartlett witnessed was Western journalists who were clearly exposed to the same facts and incidents as herself to but who returned to their writing desks to report the opposite or, at the very least, something so skewed and misrepresented that it might as well have been a bald-faced lie.
Others who have traveled to Syria have also found that their Western counterparts were reporting stories vastly different from their actual experiences.
So while the mainstream media maligns Eva Bartlett as a Russian agent, the truth of the matter is that the corporate outlets are agents of disinformation and propaganda as more and more Americans are beginning to learn by the day.
Despite having witnessed certain events on the ground, the reports of the New York Times and the BBC are coming back saying something entirely different. I suppose after helping lead an entire nation into a war based on fraudulent claims of “weapons of mass destruction,” you might as well commit and continue the lie.
For those who have been following the Syrian crisis from the beginning, this is not a surprise. But as the corporate outlets continue to promote propaganda lines so far from reality, it necessitates greater and greater lies to cover up the initial treachery, thus devolving into catcalls of insults and suspicion such as claims of “Russian espionage,” “racism,” or other trendy buzz terms.
However, since the corporate press and certain elements within the U.S. government are so obsessed with Russia, they would be wise to pay attention to the Russian proverb: “With lies you may go ahead in the world, but you can never go back.”

Trump, Flynn and the Trifecta of Deception
But there is a darker side, Afghanistan is a hellhole of iniquity, America’s narco-state, afloat with cash and corruption, ruled by Washington, a city of small men with tiny little hands and a thirst for cash. Flynn’s downfall began in Afghanistan.
We are going to be touching on a number of areas. For insiders, analysis of Flynn in Washington with the DIA as its head, and what drove him until his downfall at the hands of Clapper in 2014. It became clear that Flynn saw his career over, Mattis hated him, Dempsey and Hagel didn’t trust him, this is where questions arise.
On July 18, 2016, it was General Mike Flynn who, at the Republican National Convention screamed on camera for his former good friend, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to be locked up for corruption. Now we learn that Flynn was paid $530,000 by Turkish intelligence to fabricate those crimes, working with Sean Hannity, fake crimes from fake hero Flynn, who we now learn took $45,000 from Russia as well and lied about that too.
“In an interview with Yahoo News’ Michael Isikoff last month, he dodged the question of whether he was paid for the appearance.
Isikoff: Were you paid for that event?
Flynn: You’d have to ask my — the folks that I went over there on behalf of.
Isikoff: Well I’m asking you. You’d know if you were paid.
Flynn: Yeah, I mean I went over there as a speaking event. It was a speaking event. What difference does that make? Did somebody go ‘Oh, he’s paid by the Russians’?
Isikoff: Well, Donald Trump has made a lot of the fact that Hillary Clinton has taken money from Wall Street, Goldman Sachs.
Flynn: I didn’t take any money from Russia, if that’s what you’re asking me.
Isikoff: Well then who paid you?
Flynn: My speakers’ bureau. Ask them.”
Everything about Flynn is fake.
Let’s take a look at an issue that has destroyed so many careers, and that’s phony claims about combat decorations. There is a simple way of looking at this, either you have a combat infantryman’s badge or not or, if you are Navy or Marines, you have a Combat Action Ribbon or not.
I wear a CAR for combat in Vietnam. Other medals like the Bronze Star can be given for anything but if they involve valor in combat, they have an attached “V” device. The following is from an interview with Michael Flynn:
And now we look at Michael Flynn’s awards:
Here we develop what we may say is ambiguity or resume creep or perhaps the use of “alternative facts.” The military lives and dies on these little details, they call it “stolen valor.” The truth, or what we present as the best version available, is far more complex. In truth, Flynn is only, as you will see, an intelligent guy, a man with no moral center, a weak person, a useful tool and someone who had made the kind of mistakes that can help us learn even more important truths.
There is what we know, and what we suspect. There is also what Flynn stands accused of. As it looks now, Flynn was greedy and stupid enough to take money for spreading fake news, the Hillary email scandal, Pizzagate, working with, we are told, Sean Hannity and Kelly Conway, to concoct a bizarre tale of imaginary corruption on anyone’s part but their own.
Let us bring a chicken or two home to roost.
Officially and illegally, Mike Flynn went on the payroll of Turkish intelligence in July of 2016. During that time and until his resignation, firing, and not the first time as we will get into, Flynn used his old Top Secret security clearance as former head, fired former head, of the Defense Intelligence Agency, as rationale to sit in on CIA briefings Trump received as candidate, then president elect and then president. From Vox.com:
“Flynn has effectively been carrying out many of the duties of that role during the transition, sitting in with Trump for highly-classified intelligence briefings and working — along with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner — to fill key national security positions. NBC News reported that Flynn personally vetoed candidates like retired Adm. William McRaven, retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis, and former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers.
Democrats would have lashed into Flynn because he broke with the longstanding tradition of retired officers avoiding direct criticism of presidents they had served.
Republican lawmakers would also likely have grilled Flynn about his decision to do a paid series of events in Moscow that included a speech and an appearance at an anniversary party for RT, a Kremlin-funded TV station, where he was photographed sitting next to Putin.”
Yes, that’s right, Flynn, who was brought into his position at the DIA by Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama turned on them as he also turned on now Secretary of Defense Mattis, the one who fired Flynn back in 2010 for violating his security clearance, something Flynn seems good at, perhaps the only thing.
If the CIA knew Flynn were being paid by Turkey, he would not have been allowed in the briefings. Problem is, Trump knew and failed to tell the CIA, according to news stories from March 11, 2017. This is a severe legal issue for Trump particularly if information from those meetings was given to a foreign government with Trump’s knowledge.
Flynn cannot keep a security clearance and work as an agent of a foreign government. But it gets better, Flynn was working for Turkey all that time, meeting the CIA but he failed to register because, if he did, the CIA would have squashed him immediately, certainly had him arrested.
Now with Trump in office, that is impossible. Why is it impossible? This is another legal problem called “obstruction.”
Then we go back to 2015 when Flynn and his son, the twittering fool, went to Moscow and did a total bendover for Russia Today. RT paid Flynn $45k, a horrible decision on their part, making them look dirty. This may well have been the purpose in the first place.
Now we move to inside sourced material that is controversial and not available to the press. First some background. Our new Secretary of Defense, General Mattis, has a long history with Flynn. It was Mattis that fired Flynn back in 2010 for “running his mouth and passing on secrets.” From Daily Caller:
“Future Secretary of Defense Gen. James Mattis removed former Army Lt. Gen. and future National Security Advisor Mike Flynn from his intelligence role in Afghanistan, according to Army documents obtained by the Washington Post.
Mattis removed Flynn from his position in 2010 after Flynn was investigated by Central Command (CENTCOM) for sharing classified information with Pakistani officials. Mattis took over as head of CENTCOM in August of the same year, recalling Flynn to Washington, D.C., a month later. Flynn was given a temporary assignment as the special assistant to the chief of Army intelligence.
The U.S. military investigated Flynn a second time in 2010 after an anonymous Navy intelligence specialist claimed the general “inappropriately” shared secret information with “various foreign officers and/or officials in Afghanistan.’”
While Flynn was in Afghanistan, someone with organizational talent moved heroin production there to Turkey, taking with it hundreds of millions in profit. Sources say this is where Flynn first got close to Turkish intelligence, a relationship he kept up, we are told, when he returned to the US and one Turkey sought to cash in on when Flynn took over as head of the 17,000 strong Defense Intelligence Agency.
The DIA would be capable of “skewing” American intelligence on Turkish intentions and working to hide Turkey’s involvement in poison gas attacks on Syria, in ISIS smuggling and in broad support of terrorism, that continues to this day.
Just as Flynn claims to have been blind to the restructuring of the world’s heroin supply done on his watch, a project that required assets under his supervision and control, it is also Flynn who is the biggest Obama critic on failures to defeat al Nusra and ISIS in Iraq and Afghanistan, where Flynn is on the payroll of the biggest terrorist supporter in the world next to Saudi Arabia.
There would have been no ISIS, no al Nusra without the full complicity of Turkey and, as we see on today’s battlefield, Turkish backed troops confront Americans inside Syria an unreported story, kept from the public by an administration run by a President whose business relationships with Turkish “oligarchs,” read “gangsters” goes back to Bayrock Corporation in 2005, an unprecedented conflict of interest.
Our sources say that Flynn’s relationship with Turkey goes all the way back to 2010 when the key intelligence commands, under Flynn, and working with the Northern Alliance warlords that control the corrupt US backed Kabul regime, ran the global opium to heroin operation, from USAID fertilizer deliveries for poppies to irrigation projects for water to transportation using contact airlines and even GlobalHawk long range drones the size of small airliners.
All the while weapons and cash disappeared in Afghanistan at an unprecedented rate while America was humiliated because of poor leadership and hopelessly bad intelligence.
After the heady life in Afghanistan, living the life of somewhere between Pablo Escobar and Lawrence of Arabia, perhaps the delusional shadow of each more likely the case with Flynn, returning to Washington and politicking next to Obama and Clinton required powerful friends. Flynn on his own had no friends, none except those who wanted a chance to put blinders on the Obama White House and Clinton’s State Department.
Flynn would not have been the only asset, it would have required strong assets at the DHS and, of course, the predictably corrupt CIA. Please note that, despite his love for all things Russian and “Putin,” it was Flynn that pushed for US intervention against Russia in Ukraine.
What Flynn does know is the truth behind MH17, he knows Turkey’s involvement in chemical weapons and terrorism, he knows his own role in working for the sponsors of ISIS and al Qaeda, he knows this and much more. And he shares that information, something he was fired for by General Mattis back in 2010.
What we also know is that he is not on our side.
