Syria: Russian Briefing Points to Upcoming Clash between US and Syrian Army, Iranian, and Russian Military. War Crime: US bombing Syria with White Phosphorus
The Saker 9 June 2017: At a press conference, Russian military brass describe in detail the situation in Syria – see in particular after the 8 min. mark: The ISIS is on the run, the Syrian army supported by Russian aircraft retaking big areas of Syria – but they are being stopped by US supported rebels and US special troops who invaded Syria in March and more massively on 24 March at Al-Tanf.
The Russian Colonel states that Russia and Syria will push anyone aside who stops the advancement of the Syrian army – and that the US excuse that the Syrian army is a danger toits allies is nonsense, since these forces have no say over the forces of sovereign Syria! The Russian military sees the US engagement a protection of ISIS instead of an attempt to fight ISIS.
Is the US using white phosphorus in Syria?
Xinhua News 9 June 2017, China’s state press agency, reported that “Tens of civilians were killed on Thursday when the U.S.-led airstrikes targeted Syria’s northern city of Raqqa with white phosphorus,” citing a report from Syria’s Sham FM radio.
Russia’s Riafan.ru reported that “Coalition forces led by the United States of America shell Raqqa and suburbs of white phosphorus munitions,” Early reports suggest that nearly 50 people were killed.
The CGT News 10 June 2017: Civilians were killed on Thursday when US-led airstrikes targeted Syria’s northern city of Raqqa with white phosphorus, pro-government Sham FM radio reported.
Meanwhile, a Washington Post report said that the US-led coalition also appear to have used white phosphorus-loaded munitions in densely populated areas of Mosul, a city long been tortured by the chaotic situation in Iraq.
The Free Thought 9 May 2017: The chemical was banned internationally after the 1980 Protocol on Incendiary Weapons
The Red Cross noted that “employing asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases, and all analogous liquids, materials or devices is listed in the Statute of the International Criminal Court as a war crime.”
The same president who claimed to be heartbroken over the “innocent babies” who were reportedly killed in April in a chemical attack that was immediately blamed on Assad’s government—despite evidence that suggested otherwise—has said nothing about the reports that suggest his country could be guilty of the same crime he condemned.
The MSM has kept this silent.
I don´t know from where this video is – but apparently it does show white phosphorus being used somewhere.
This bodes an imminent confrontation between the US and the Syrian army and its supports, Iran and Russia, unless the good but controversial ties between Putin and Trump can avert such a danger.
